Wyrd
Feb 2007
When the west wind whips
And the wary wanderer weeps –
When the world watches in silence
And women whisper words of truth
While men work without complaint –
When whimsical wants are willfully forgotten,
And worship wins out over play –
When, with his wailing withheld,
One wishes with his deeds
And waits no more without acting,
That’s when Wyrd will wind itself up within our brains,
And we will know our destiny.
