This was a fantastic fantasy book, and I didn’t much care for it. That’s not to say anything about the quality of the writing, which was fantastic – it speaks more to my tastes. Up to this point, I’d assumed I didn’t care much for fantasy because I hadn’t read a good one, but it was clear reading Warbreaker that it was well-written and well-plotted. The characters were interesting, I liked the concept, the pace was fantastic, the writing skilled, but it just wasn’t one of my favorites. Highly recommended for someone who loves fantasy, but if you don’t love fantasy, this book is unlikely to change your mind.
