I cannot believe it’s been two months since I’ve written a blog post! I have a bunch of things to write about, but this is just a quick check in.
November passed quickly. I participated in NaNoWriMo (and won!), had my husband’s birthday, Thanksgiving with family, and Friendsgiving at our house.

Through both November and December, we had house construction going on. We found out we had mold way back in March of 2019, and 2 of our 3 bathrooms have been torn apart since then. We’ve had issues with broken vanities, tiles that don’t line up because of slight variations in size, a broken fence because of the way things were brought upstairs, and more – not to mention that the contractor needed to request more money from the insurance company. Then the request needed to go through the mortgage company again, who just sat on the checks they needed to sign for more than a month.
Towards the end of November and throughout December, my Etsy orders picked up, so I spent most of my time working on those. I love my Etsy job!

Through December, I had kid Christmas concerts, church events, and gifts to buy and wrap. We went Christmas caroling around our block with friends. And Christmas we all got sick. The cold lasted about two weeks, and my husband is still dealing with the cough. I did manage to get a story submitted about 10 pm on New Year’s Eve, so that was fun (a story I drafted during NaNo – about the Tokyo Olympics). Our holidays were filled with apple cider instead of wine and champagne, and we really enjoyed a Disney+.

It’s now 2020 (yikes!), and the kids are back in school. I’m looking forward to getting things back on track – at least as much as possible with the construction kicking back up!
