My rating: 3 of 5 stars
I was really disappointed with this book. It’s well-written, and there are parts that are briefly engaging, but for the most part, I found the story to be self-indulgent and forgettable.
I do appreciate having read this book while taking David Sedaris’s Masterclass, but on its own, I’d give this book a pass. Pushing through the majority of the book to get the one or two chapters that spoke to me was just not worth it.
