This book is what I wanted Me Talk Pretty One Day to be. It’s a memoir with heart and soul. It wanders around, but it’s a cohesive narrative. Although it’s topic is Christian spirituality, the book is never preachy. It’s a wonderful example of one person’s journey from superficial faith to a deep life-changing faith. It’s a very quick read, but that doesn’t mean it’s simplistic. There are some wonderfully complex topics that are dealt with using humor and personal experience. More than anything though, this book made me remember how I fell in love with Jesus to begin with, and refreshed that feeling in my soul. I truly love this book and plan on re-reading it again and again.
