I’ve written before about being a part of an anthology, but we’re one step closer to the final project because

WE HAVE A COVER NOW!

I absolutely love the way the cover turned out. There are ten stories in the anthology, and each of them has an image somewhere on the cover. My story, Mari Lwyd, has two images – the mirror and the horse skull. The other images are: the bag of coins, the snow globe, the menorah, the sheet music, the chainsaw, the train, the pie, the doll, and the black pinecone. Any idea what those stories might be about?

In terms of designing, the group went through a bunch of different ideas, and settled on a creepy Santa with the story images. The filigree around the perimeter was also a discussion, as well as the general style. The image had to be revised a few times because Santa just wasn’t creepy enough. I’m extremely grateful to our fearless leader, Miriam, who worked tirelessly to get this cover in tip-top shape.

Also, ohmygosh, there’s a cover that will be on a book that has one of my stories! I’m so excited! Ebook preorders are up right now if you want to pick up a copy, or wait until Nov 13 for the full release if you want a paperback. I can’t wait!
