This week was very buys, but it was a good busy. After two years of pandemic total and semi-isolation, we have brought back our Friday get-togethers. Basically, we do open house on some Fridays, I make a bunch of food, people come over, and we all eat together, play board games, and let the kids run around. Friday went super well, but it was the first one in two years, which meant lots of cleaning, cooking, and other prep.

Because I worked so hard setting all that up, I was completely wiped out by Saturday. So instead of working on our house chore list, we mostly took the day off. I went back to reading Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine (starting on pg 79), and finished it up (read about 250 pages). It was a nice day.

I even managed to get about 2k words edited on Zombie Love. Sunday was another 1k, as was Monday. I’m making progress.

Unfortunately, I stalled on my pirate story. After meeting with my writing group last week, they encouraged me to expand my one raid chapter into two chapters, diving more into the details and making the raid more exciting. I totally see where they’re coming from, but I cannot figure out how to get there. My project this week is doing some brainstorming so that I can hopefully (re)write those two chapters and get back on track.
