This book was just as wonderful the second time around 20+ years later. This time I read it completely differently than I did as a teenager. Then, young Wart’s adventures held my attention and stuck with me; now, it’s the tragic love triangle that hits me. It’s a book with beautiful descriptions, clever humor, thoughtful philosophizing, and a wonderful story revolving around characters who seem to live off the page as well as on. Highly recommended for all ages.
