A helpful little book, it’s a quick read on its own. The first part was helpful, with a few good concepts and ways to practice them. I found most of the techniques I already practice (I read around 400 wmp), but the idea of expanding peripheral vision was new to me.
I was not a fan of the chapter on vocabulary: it felt very condescending, which always puts a sour taste in my mouth. I also found some of the exercises a bit of a stretch (try visualizing the chapter on visualizing?). I think the concepts are a bit more helpful for textbooks or nonfiction, if that’s your jam.
Overall, a good read if you’re looking for pointers and have a few dollars to spare.
